I find them deep and relatable. Deep like the psalms of lament by King David. Relatable because the issues raised (self-image, forgiveness, pornography, rejection, heave, etc.) are issues that the youth, and indeed everyone else, think about daily.
I love that Mercy is being open and vulnerable. Keeping it real by using her own personal examples. This again goes to make it relatable.
And most importantly, I love the way you point us back to God’s Word and God Himself, Abba Father. Yes, we have these struggles, but hey, look up, God has an answer for you in His Eternal, Changeless Word.
It is a simply written memoir. It helps readers know that God is a relational God, He desires our true fellowship.

This book reveals how God is ready to respond to every detail of our lives. It reveals how God awaits us to talk to him about everything and anything. While reading the book, I did not just see a kneeling child talking to a 'Far God' I saw a child sitting on her father's laps, hugging Him so tightly and trusting Him with all that concerns her. I saw a Father responding with love to every ``gist of his daughter``. It gives me peace to know that. God's busy schedule is Me!
I've always had an amazing relationship with my Father so it wasn't difficult to relate with God. However, no matter how great my Dad was as a father, it is nothing in comparison to who God is as our Father and how He fathers us. Mercy's Letters to Abba come from a deep place of vulnerability and intimacy built over time. She shows you that you can talk to God about any and everything and be certain that He's willing and ready to answer you. The letters are so relatable and I bet you'll see yourself in many pages. However, I pray that not only will you see yourself in those pages, but that you'll experience the healing that she did and God will be more real to you. Abba, Father, Daddy, Dad...you'll have the boldness to relate with Him in this light when you're done in Jesus name amen.
I must say. I felt my heart soften a little while reading. I didn’t seat down as I read the introduction. I’ve been there. It feels good to resonate and also be reminded that although I can be angry at God, He’s still Abba.
Reading through the pages of this masterpiece, my heart smiled.

Maybe Mer saw right through me and she wrote straight from my heart to Abba's. Maybe it's the 11th chapter for me. No, I think it's all the chapters.
